Fresh lettuce, tart and crisp apples, grapes and crunchy walnuts make this american classic a favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 butter lettuce
  • 1 apple - I like Honey Crisp or Jazz
  • 1 cup grapes
  • ½ cup celery , chopped
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ½ cup cheese - Monterey Jack
  • 1 cup chicken breast - cooked and cut in small chunks (optional)

For the dressing:

  • ½ cup mayonaise
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cut lettuce into bite sized pieces. Place into salad bowl.
    Core and chop apples. Slice grapes in halfes. Cut cheese and chicken in small chunks (if using)
    Add all ingredients to a bowl, then add salad dressing, and toss to combine. Place salad on top of the greens, or mix it all all in. Top wit walnuts.
