Ingredients

  • 2 cups Frozen Mango chunks
  • 3 oz Tequila (I used Patron Silver)
  • 2 oz Triple Sec (Substitute with orange flavored liquor like Cointreau, or Grand Manier)
  • 1 Lime (freshly squeezed)
  • Simple Syrup, or 1 tsp. Agave Nectar (for sweetening, if desired)
  • 1 cup Ice
  • Lime wedges and salt (Optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Begin by running a lime wedge around the top rim of a glass. Fill a small plate with salt, and dip the rim in the salt. Set aside. (This step is optional)
    2. Add frozen mango, tequila, lime juice, tripple sec, syrup, and ice to a blender. Puree until smooth with slushy like texture. (Make sure frozen mango is a little thawed, so it blends easily)
    3. Pour Margarita into glasses. Serve immediately, garnished with extra lime wedges if desired.

HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE SYRUP FOR THIS RECIPE:

  • Bring 3 tablespoon sugar with 3 tablespoon water to a quick boil. Add to the blender with the rest of the ingredients.
