Chicken Lo Mein - my healthier take-on to this classic asian dish. Lo Mein noodles are coated in a savory sauce with lots of fresh veggies and chicken. Better than take-out - Hands down!
Make the Sauce:In a small bowl mix together the soy sauce, worcestershire or oyster sauce, mirin, sesame oil, sugar, pepper, Chinese 5 spice, and cornstarch. Cut chicken breast into small bite-sized pieces. Add 3 tablespoons of sauce to the chicken, and set aside for 10 minutes.Cook Lo Mein Noodles after package instructionsCooking Directions:Heat sesame oil in a large skillet, or wok over high heat. Add the onions and cook for 1 minute, then the garlic, and cook for a few seconds. Add the chicken and stir fry for 2 minutes. Move the chicken to the side, add the cabbage and stir fry for 1 minute. Next, add the bell pepper and the mushrooms. Keep stirring and cooking for another 2 minutes. Add the sauce, pasta water, and noodles. Toss to coat, add green onions and stir fry for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
