This amazing Fig Vinaigrette Salad dressing is fruity, sweet and slightly thick. It makes a simple salad unique and interesting!
This Fig Balsamic salad dressing is sweet and tangy with subtle flavors of figs that is delicious as a salad topping with fresh fruit, prosciutto, cheese and nuts. This dressing also pairs beautifully with cheese platters, or with braised meats.
HOW TO MAKE A FIG VINAIGRETTE
1. In a small sauce pan, gently simmer the fig jam with the vinegar. Just about 1 minute. Then, spoon the mixture into a small bowl. Allow to cool.
2. Add dijon mustard, and a dash of salt & pepper. Whisk, then add slowly the olive oil, while still mixing. Add a little water to thin out the dressing. Enjoy!

FIG VINAIGRETTE SALAD DRESSING
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon fig jam ( either light or dark mission fig jam)
- 3 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar - or white wine vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon dijon mustard
- salt & pepper , to taste
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 - 2 tablespoon water - to thin out vinaigrette
