A sweeter take on the traditional caprese salad. This Balsamic Strawberry Caprese salad is bursting with sweet and tangy flavor of the slow-roasted Strawberries, fresh basil, and Burrata. Pair with crusty bread, and a crisp glass Chardonnay. The perfect way to celebrate the end of summer!
Of course, tomatoes and basil are a match made in heaven, but if you haven't tried balsamic roasted strawberries and basil, you are in for a treat. To make the base of this salad you simply combine balsamic vinegar, and a little sugar with the strawberries. Add a few sprigs of thyme, and roast it in the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes. Then you assemble the salad with fresh Burrata, or Mozarella cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the balsamic strawberries around the cheese. Garnish with lots of fresh basil. Then, dig in!
